March 10th, 2008 - Orlando, Titusville and Cocoa Beach Charter Fishing Report

With Spring time coming, the flats fishing has been coming on very hot. Red fish, black drum and flounder are every where along with giant seatrout on Florida's east coast waters. Central Florida light tackle flats fishing is at its prime. Mullet have been coming into the area and the water levels have been very low, use extreme caution at navigating these waters.

The bite has been very good throughout the day every where on the Mosquito Lagoon, Ponce Inlet and Indian River. Whether you are fishing the areas near Cocoa Beach, Titusville or sight fishing the flats of the backcountry waters of the New Smyrna Beach area, the fishing is superb. Light tackle fishing is at its best at this time as well for fly fishing. For saltwater fly fishing use crab or shrimp patterns in brown or natural colors with a 4 hook.
