Daytona Beach is a city in eastern Volusia County Florida. Located on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and Halifax River just east of Orlando, Disney and all of central Florida. To the south of Daytona Beach is Ponce Inlet which leads to the Atlantic ocean and New Smyrna Beach, one of the best places to enjoy a day on the coast targeting giant bull red drum, snook, shark, kingfish, cobia, barracuda and much more. The summer time is epic at peak tarpon fishing season here. Manatee and Dolphin scenic private tour also are offered. To the north is the historic city of St. Augustine, which is oldest city in the United States settled by the Spanish in the 1565. A must to see while visiting central Florida.

If you are visiting the world famous Daytona Beach and are looking to get in some great inshore light tackle saltwater flats fishing then you are in luck and this is the charter for you. The Mosquito Lagoon is part of the North Indian River Lagoon System and is located in the area from Port Canaveral at Cocoa Beach to the south up to the north at Ponce Inlet in Daytona Beach. The Mosquito Lagoon covers around a stretch of 55 miles along the east central Florida coastline.
This and is an outstanding place to go after the great bull redfish, snook, trout, tarpon and black drum that make these waters home on a year round basis. These bodies of water are minutes from the heart of Daytona Beach. Also offering deep sea reef and wreck fishing off Ponce Inlet.
Captain Drew Cavanaugh also possesses a valid NOAA permit, which is required by federal law to fish the reefs and wrecks off the Florida coast. There is only a small limited number of charter fishing guides who possess this. Along with this he also holds all necessary local, state licenses and insurance.
