With calm winds today and a high of 85 degrees out, the day turned out nice. My clients and I started off with some basic bar fishing using D.O.A. shrimp under a popping cork. This is always a simple and productive way to catch some fish. This method is very good to use with beginners and kids. It keeps kids busy and active with the rod and reel. By the end of the day we had landed 16 sea trout and 7 redfish. Fly fishing throughout the backcountry waters of the Mosquito Lagoon has been very productive as well.
Cocoa Beach saltwater fishing is beginning to improve. Looks as if we are going to have a great winter fishery here again in east central Florida.
